Question

If you could recreate a scene from any movie/show/book/etc. in VR...

Movies, shows, random youtube videos, games, books, whatever...  if you could recreate a particular scene from any piece of media in VR to immerse yourself in that scene as though you were there, what would you pick?  Also, would you want to have the PoV of a character FROM that scene, or just view it as a bystander?

Personally, I'm going to go with David Lynch's "Rabbits",  just sitting there in the living-room set with the rabbit people and trying to endure the sheer discomfort that Lynch was so good at provoking. :grimace:

How about you guys?

I'd really love to explore Hogwarts, in fact how about a Harry Potter VR game!?

Now that's one for the motion controls.  Actually, wait, that's pretty much "The Unspoken" by Insomniac games, right?   I guess a REAL Harry Potter VR game would need to encorporate speech recognition... and be VERY particular about pronunciation.  (It's levio-saaah!)

Any particular scene you would want to sit in on?
It's hard being the voice of reason when you're surrounded by unreasonable people.

Tea with the Mad Hatter and co would make for a very amusing VR short, I bet.

Any classic horror movie but I'd have to view as a bystander first before viewing it from the POV of a character. Movies like Hellraiser 2, Phantasm, Nightmare of Elm St, Texas Chainsaw Massacre, etc.

Newer horror movies like Cabin in the Woods, Hostel, Insidious, Sinister, or the Green Inferno would be interesting too.

As far as TV shows, I'd love to experience Spartacus through the eyes of all the characters. That would provide excellent replay value. Attack on Titan and Sword Art Online would be pretty cool too.

Hellraiser is one of my favorite series; I'd love to experience it in VR! Another one that could potentially be cool is Clive Barker's Nightbreed. I'll also add in Pan's Labyrinth and stop here before I begin the list that never ends.
