No, it is a way of life! The goal is to travel away from the "Dark Ages", and not look back. ;)
Dycus comment "This topic can stay because it's become (somewhat) productive" would suggest it is a prerequisite. Your comment "No, it is a way of life!" is somewhat contrary to the response dycus gave and ill fitting to my question "Productivity is a lounge prerequisite?".
I am ok with the 'way of life' theory though. I do generally set out to accomplish something with everything I do. More for my own personal reasons though, not so much to get away from the Dark Ages, they were a little before my time. ;)
You must be older than I thought geekmaster!

Not THAT old. But the Dark Ages are closer than you think. Right around the corner in fact. Some middle-eastern countries once had thriving economies and enlightened education systems, and now they are ruled by fanatical hate mongers, who want to prevent females from being educated, and worse later. We could easily decay to that level. Much too easily. We must prevent that by educating everyone about everything, so they can make good informed decisions instead of blowing themselves up just because some so-called religious leader convinced them they would get 72 virgins or something. [/rant]
Anyway, educate people, and make them smile. Make the world a better place than you found it. And help create a future that people want to live in, instead of wanting to kill and die because they know nothing better. Dystopia is not where we want to end up, in the Middle East now, or here later...

I never expected such a meaningful reply. I'm hardly the kind you need to educate on such matters though; my previous post was meant to be a humorous 'jab' at your old age and not so much meant to be taken as a representation of my ignorance regarding the ways of Man.
And none of this changes the fact that your answer to my question was wrong!

I speak to a greater audience. This is a public forum, not a PM. You may agree, or ignore, or be educated, as is your desire and your need. It is a way that minimizes misunderstanding without making unnecessary assumptions, and hopefully, without "talking down"...

Not necessarily wrong. Perhaps a way of life is a lounge prerequisite, which would make my answer a member of Dycus' defined set, which makes it true. But we really don't know, and we probably shouldn't care either. Some of us need some sleep. TTYL.
