Nice story from Reddit:

Thank you Valve, my mom loves the Steam VR rooms

Just a short story I wanted to share :

So I got a few months ago the Valve Index headset, and I love it.

Later I decided to show the VR headset to my mother, she is in the 60th and never heard about VR before, she also doesn’t own a computer sho she’s kind of a "technophobe", often telling me that she is too old for the technical stuff.

So I launched steam VR to show her the Steam VR room, when she put on the VR headset the first thing she asked me was "Is this a real house ?" (quite interresting to see that older people have more troubles to make the difference between CGI and IRL), I kept telling her that it's not a real house and she couldn't believe it.

She absolutely loved it, walking around the room, seeing eagles flying or butterflies landing on her hands, she standed in this room for like 20 minutes, and kept telling me that she felt like in hollidays. I was fascinated about the SteamVR room but for my mom the first experience was on a whole new level.

Later I downloaded Mars

(https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=928142301), and showed her the sceneries, and here it was the same story, she standed here for 20 minutes.

Now once per week my mom asks me if she can go on Mars again, or on the Moon (but that map doesn’t exist yet) and when she meets some of her friends or familly members, she tells them about the VR experience, and how she loves it.

Anyways, I just wanted to thank Valve for the VR headset, and for the awesome SteamVR room and other sceneries, my mom loves it.

Everyone looks pretty laid-back except that DOOM guy in the foreground ready to slay demon butt (nice unorthodox  controller grip he has there).

Yup, a proper reaction to that grip would be:

Now what did Mr. Lang mean by that tweet - I greatly dislike riddles  :#

Such riddles remind me of girls I used to know - never did understand what they wanted or meant  :(  :D

Hasn't been confirmed. Seems like those who know nothing are asking a lot of questions, while those who know still won't say a word.
Only word from Valve is that the flagship will come in 2019 - I've seen no word from Valve that the flagship has been postponed. They still have like 3 months... ok, 2½ then ;)

Two of them seem to be enjoying a VR experience of the windows 10 lock screen. :)

Or if doggy isn't enough - here's a post from yesterday on Reddit where different CV1 owners share their experiences upgrading from CV1 to Index:
