So played Lone Echo last night with all settings on max and SS 2.0. Wow surprisingly sharp even at distance.

So little confused, why would you use ss 2.0 in OTT and 0.7 in game. 2 - 0.7 = 1.3?

Why not 0 in game and 1.4 in OTT or 1.4 in game? I should paid more attention before when you were giving your ss Ted talks :)

So why would you use ss 2.0 in OTT and 0.7 why not 0 and 1.4 in OTT?

The 0.7 is only the in-game setting in Seeking Dawn. Seeking Dawn allows for in-game ss between 0.6 and 1.2, which is quite low. Either using global ss 2.0, or making a ss 2.0 profile for Seeking Dawn, ensures that you can go beyond ss 1.2 in Seeking Dawn. But Seeking Dawn is so demanding that ss 1.4 or 1.6 seems to be the max for me - with the CV1 you'll probably need 3080 Ti for ss 2.0 in Seeking Dawn (and then you may still not get solid 90 fps, but hopefully close).

In Oculus Tray Tools I use a global ss of 2.0, so all my games and apps are forced to use ss 2.0. In cases where ss 2.0 reduces performance too much, I make a profile for these games in Oculus Tray Tools. The profile ss overrides the global ss. For example I use ss 1.8 for Windlands to always get 90 fps - and I use ss 1.8 in Asgard's Wrath, because ss 2.0 reduces performance too much.

I hope Tyler had some warm wet napkins to gently clean himself afterwards, lol:

Hmmmm, something tells me this isn't airmail, but I could be wrong - shipped Monday, 72 hours later my left Knuckle ;) has arrived in Hamburg, Germany - and still needs to go some way to Holland...

If I knew it would take a full week to reach destination I'd happily have paid for faster shipping, then again next week is Stormland, and I'm not even 50% through Asgard's Wrath...

Maybe I should just relax and hope that my left controller enjoys visiting Hamburg, lol

Some may think I've got too much time on my hands without my left Index controller, but of course I'm just genuinely interested o:)  :D (and still 2 hours until Pistol Whip to go ;))

So (...prolonged drum roll...) this is where your Valve hardware ends up in Europe when starting RMA procedures - the building does look kinda big and halflife-ish - but what if some schmuck misplaces my package on a shelf number 234567821, will anyone ever find it ?  :o  :#

Tyler now says he's heard some different dates, but that everything points to an announcement before the Steam Winter/Christmas sale Dec 19. We'll see. I'm not in a hurry, right now I only got one arm/hand  :D

Seems like one of the highly expected titles for the Index (but it also supports the Rifts and more) will get its launch day revealed later today - namely Boneworks:
