Hellsplit will get full finger tracking support when the new update soon arrives. Here's a preview:

I second that question. We must learn from it so that such atrocity never happens again

I bought that weeks ago, but haven't had time to play it, yet. Wish there were many more hours in an evening!

I'm also waiting to get stuck into that zombie VR game... "SURVIV3" as it seems to get good hype and thought I'd grab it when it was on sale.

I have an issue with my left controller, though. They just replaced it and within two sessions I had the same issue with the new one. When I reported that, they said straight away that they would exchange my new controller again!
Thankfully they relented and agreed to do some fault finding procedures so we can try and find exactly what is wrong, rather than just replacing it.
Basically, the controller is disappearing from SteamVR (not just tracking, but all input) when it still has plenty of charge left in it.

PS - I'm so chuffed I invested in an extra base station - no 'black holes' in my tracking coverage now! Finally I can get through an In Death session without getting killed when my bow floats away! :)

@@JD-UK Nice one, so 3 base station in total? What's the size of your play space?

It's pretty small - 2x3m. I had a black spot at 90° to the two original base stations, which are on the ceiling in opposite corners (2m high) right next to my CV1 sensors. The CV1 sensors gave me excellent tracking for roomscale, but that right angle point has been a problem with the Index for months (though not always - was okay for a while to start with).

I put the new base station at head height halfway between the two originals, on the wall, pointing directly at the area that I'd had issues with.

Now it all seems perfect. Maybe overkill for the room size, but I'm happy.

Hmmm, sounds like either a reflection issue or an obstruction issue. My space is 4x4.5m and I only have issues if my blinds aren't drawn to block out window reflections. Definitely an overkill.

But then again, if you're having tracking issues, it can get quite frustrating. Often times a shotgun approach to a problem is the easiest solution.

I'd been bashing my head against the wall on this for months - it was time to bring out the big artillery  B)

First results with 3080 vs 2080 Ti using Index 120 Hz:

Not sure what happened with that single 1080 lol. The 3080 owner mentioned getting 115 fps average in Alyx compared to 118-119 using 2080 Ti, so clearly Alyx or SteamVR - or Nvidia's drivers - needs an update.

Thanks for that Rune.  Looks like only a 15-20% improvement for VR (3080 vs 2080ti).  Probably about what I expected.  I'm still going to wait (mainly because I cannot source a 3080 right now anyway, lol!) and see what kind of improvement the 3080 gives in X Plane 11.50 Vulcan before upgrading my 1080ti.

That 1080 and the Ryzen 7 seem to be producing some form of magic going by the benchmark scores. lol
