Here's mine...

I'm a huge fan of The Metal but I think I'll start with some of my legendary, less angry, favorites.

Probably my favorite band of all time across all genres is Primus. I've seen them live twice, and I've seen Les Claypool live in his solo act once.

It all started with "Jerry was a Race car driver"

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LBQ2305fLeA

For those who don't know Les, fun fact: he once audition for Metallica and they denied him based solely on the fact that he is far too damn good for them.

I've seen tons of bands live (Slayer, Megadeth, Sepultura, Napalm Death, Cannibal Corpse, Korn, System of a Down, Pantera, Slipknot, Lamb of God - to name a few). But Primus is the band that showed me first hand the largest mosh pit I've ever seen, and it was to this mighty cute song:

A few thousand people went ape shit at the 1:37 mark.

I hold in high regard just about everything Claypool releases; if I had to pick a favorite song it is simply, Here Come The Bastards

    Quick interjection,

    Gojira - Flying whales

SAPPY by Red Velvet is basically about adolescent gamers! Only the Outro has a twist! (revealing what the Intro comes from)
As usual their m/v's are seriously more complicated than the song!
'Peek-A-Boo' was all about luring pizza delivery boys to kill them for their shirts as trophies!

    https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JUJ3Pq74H4c
    (translation)...
    "[Intro]
    Which do you like?
    (He's a big boy)
    Let me be clear
    (But such a young boy)
    Which do you like?
    (Such a sappy sappy boy)
    Let me be clear now

    Come on boy, yeah, yeah

    [Verse 1]
    You're sobbing and being pessimistic
You're hesitating again, you can't choose
Writing poems in your notes, your hobby is sentimental
Look, now it's time to open the door

    [Pre-Chorus]
Even though I definitely wouldn't mind being loved
Why? Stop getting timid on me, amazing (yeah)

    [Chorus]
    It's not that I don't like it
    (Sappy, sappy, too cutie, cutie)
    Log out from daydreams
    (Sappy, sappy, too cutie, cutie)
    Which do you love?
I want you to tell me the truth tonight
    I'm not a child
    (Sappy, sappy, too cutie, cutie)
Tell me, which do you love?
    Let me be clear

    [Verse 2]
It's not a bad thing to dream
It's not a fairytale, it's the real world
What are you gonna do? Which one are you gonna pick?
    Reality or fantasy, adolescent boy?
I'm still clearing dating simulation games using the manual
I'm still a long way from real love

    [Pre-Chorus]
If I ask you for your love
Don't turn your eyes away from me, amazing (yeah)

    [Chorus]
    It's not that I don't like it
    (Sappy, sappy, too cutie, cutie)
    Escape from being just two-dimensional
    (Sappy, sappy, too cutie, cutie)
    Which one do you love?
Tonight let me know your true feelings
    You'll really grow up then
    (Sappy, sappy, too cutie, cutie)
Tell me, which one do you love?

    [Bridge]
Which one do you love? Let's make it clear
Which one do you love? Let's make it clear
    (Know, know, know, know)
    It's fine either way
(Let's make it clear know, know, know, know)

    [Chorus]
    It's not that I don't like it
    (Sappy, sappy, too cutie, cutie)
    Log out from daydreams
    (Sappy, sappy, too cutie, cutie)
    Which one do you love?
    What? What? What?
    (Sappy, sappy, too cutie, cutie)
    Escape from being just two-dimensional
    (Sappy, sappy, too cutie, cutie)
    Which one do you love?

    [Outro]
Is it me or her? Please, choose
In your heart, it's probably me than her
I want you to tell me the truth tonight
    You'll really grow up then
    (Sappy, sappy, too cutie, cutie)
Tell me, which one do you love?
Which one do you love? Let's make it clear
Which one do you love? Let's make it clear"

btw I'm not normally in to "reaction videos" at all. However, these "Lost in Vegas" guys have me addicted to their metal reaction videos. Metal is clearly not their genre of choice, but they have a great series where they break down their opinions of listening to a lot of legendary metal songs for the first time. Megadeth, Metallica, Korn, Anthrax, Judas Priest. Even harder stuff like Napalm Death, Slayer, and Cannibal Corpse.

I enjoyed their reaction to this Gojira song:

OK here's a song that will certainly tear jerk you. On first impressions it's just another smooth ballad to a separated loved one. You would never have imagined what it really represents and once you have watched it, and then the explanation, and then see the live performance, (no more "and then") for me my words were "how...just how... how could they sing this?" and perform this and remain so professionally poised...even the opening melodies.

"I just woke up from a dream
Again, there’s only a sad, lone star in the sky
    We awkwardly say goodbye
My way back couldn't be farther...

An old story and there's me who stopped that day
More than the times we loved
    We're saying our goodbyes
Past the Milky Way, somewhere far away

I go through our white memories
It's alright, even if it's just a dream
    Let's meet again
    One of these nights"
