Here's mine...

I'm a huge fan of The Metal but I think I'll start with some of my legendary, less angry, favorites.

Probably my favorite band of all time across all genres is Primus. I've seen them live twice, and I've seen Les Claypool live in his solo act once.

It all started with "Jerry was a Race car driver"

For those who don't know Les, fun fact: he once audition for Metallica and they denied him based solely on the fact that he is far too damn good for them.

I've seen tons of bands live (Slayer, Megadeth, Sepultura, Napalm Death, Cannibal Corpse, Korn, System of a Down, Pantera, Slipknot, Lamb of God - to name a few). But Primus is the band that showed me first hand the largest mosh pit I've ever seen, and it was to this mighty cute song:

A few thousand people went ape shit at the 1:37 mark.

I hold in high regard just about everything Claypool releases; if I had to pick a favorite song it is simply, Here Come The Bastards

"Psyclon Nine presents the long-awaited "Icon of the Adversary". Blending concussive, machine-precise drums, hammering guitars, scathing vocals & evil electronics, the band is the epitome of dark metal industrial. The band's creative force, Nero Bellum, says he had to travel to a very dark place to make this album, & it shows. Stunning & unrelentingly evil, Psyclon Nine's finest album to date. "

That was some seriously slow shipping, I was starting to think it got lost in the mail - but the album arrived today:

Many years ago when I broke up with a girlfriend, she said: "When you meet another girl, don't tell her what kind of music you like".

I'm still nowhere close to figuring out what she meant by that :)

My last row with my gf had her saying to me "we got nothing in common" (besides wanting the opposite sex and going for another race culture!) and went on to her shouting and crying "I LIKE KPOP!!!" in facing up to the fact she was wrong LOL ;)
As it happens, even my Plumber told me of where he had travelled to in Thailand and I had been to all places he'd been to. He mentioned T-ara before I'd heard about them as he seen them in concert whilst on holiday. He just said they were "very sexy!". They have the most songs I like and are the oldest too and still together and had the guts to abandon their 10yr management to be free at long last for good or bad. They don't make good money under slave contracts. Interested to see how they go on from here.

WHAT'S WRONG by T-ara (how much better this would be with a proper guitar! Oh and check out that 12/8 section at 2:50)

Hmmm, the Psyclon Nine album, apart from the song "Crown of the Worm" seems quite boring and dull, should have checked all the songs before buying, sigh.

Maybe we need something with more energy and pulse, and is there anything more beautiful than Swedes trying to sing in German? B)

Maybe I wasn't fair to Psyclon Nine, but just had to habituate and adjust my expectations. It is big and slow sound, and no doubt this song will top the US single chart soon ;)

We had a total scream in PokerstarsVR last night. I happened to have some KPOP playing as I started and was told to turn it up and we were dancing for hours. We had a great party with fireworks inside the pub and all and it was a massive blast. It was a pleasure to have a player thanking me personally for the DJ music all night. It sure was a great set and seemed to build up all the way.
Party on and see you at the table ;)

Keith Flint of The Prodigy has passed away. This band is a legend and their albums were my obsession back when I was a newb developer trying to write software
