Here's mine...

I'm a huge fan of The Metal but I think I'll start with some of my legendary, less angry, favorites.

Probably my favorite band of all time across all genres is Primus. I've seen them live twice, and I've seen Les Claypool live in his solo act once.

It all started with "Jerry was a Race car driver"

For those who don't know Les, fun fact: he once audition for Metallica and they denied him based solely on the fact that he is far too damn good for them.

I've seen tons of bands live (Slayer, Megadeth, Sepultura, Napalm Death, Cannibal Corpse, Korn, System of a Down, Pantera, Slipknot, Lamb of God - to name a few). But Primus is the band that showed me first hand the largest mosh pit I've ever seen, and it was to this mighty cute song:

A few thousand people went ape shit at the 1:37 mark.

I hold in high regard just about everything Claypool releases; if I had to pick a favorite song it is simply, Here Come The Bastards

Yeah they are a new and emerging band. They don't even have a full line-up but started publishing their music anyway. They have quickly become widely received as some godly metal shit!

Nice, yea with the state of music now and people publishing things everywhere, it's hard to keep up with even 80% of it. My favorite subgenre is Melodeath obviously, but I like multiple subgenres. The tone of the guitar is so good. Really hope they find a competent vocalist. Drumming is sick too.

To the undiscerned this MV is very shocking but tongue & cheek is high in Asian culture as it was once in ours. It represents innocence and robs the melody of '10 Little Indians', has an innuendo Pinocchio meme, some booby ogling, and the chorus is cleverly taken from Radiohead's CREEP ?

EVERY NIGHT by Exid. A freaky MV with what looks like a Blood Virus in Test Tubes used to kill some Pimp Lord with a gratuitous mass spitting out scene in slow-mo. The mysterious liquid turns out to be a strong chili :D

Lately I've been in to Retro Horror Film theme songs. Most of my personal favorite cult classics have very similar theme songs. The high pitched synth, with a harmony played at a fairly fast pace. It's the "horror sound" that engulfed my youth!

Nice.

I also like some of the trailer type music stuff of the modern movies. Love Two Steps from Hell especially.

For me, the greatest battle song ever written is from Conan the Barbarian, The Kitchen!

@pyroth309  - the art from "Black Blade" looks like a mutated Motorhead cover.
