Here's mine...

I'm a huge fan of The Metal but I think I'll start with some of my legendary, less angry, favorites.

Probably my favorite band of all time across all genres is Primus. I've seen them live twice, and I've seen Les Claypool live in his solo act once.

It all started with "Jerry was a Race car driver"

For those who don't know Les, fun fact: he once audition for Metallica and they denied him based solely on the fact that he is far too damn good for them.

I've seen tons of bands live (Slayer, Megadeth, Sepultura, Napalm Death, Cannibal Corpse, Korn, System of a Down, Pantera, Slipknot, Lamb of God - to name a few). But Primus is the band that showed me first hand the largest mosh pit I've ever seen, and it was to this mighty cute song:

A few thousand people went ape shit at the 1:37 mark.

I hold in high regard just about everything Claypool releases; if I had to pick a favorite song it is simply, Here Come The Bastards

    This song is crazy good:

    The 7:40 Mark... OMFG

This is part of that mystery about the "number 7" being the central theme. At the 7:40 mark they play an extended rhythm entirely in 7's.

I was able to watch Slipknot live yesterday, in Austin Texas. This was my 3rd time seeing them live, and I have to say that this was easily their best performance. They dominated an arena of thousands for 2 solid hours.

    Some pics from my phone:

Speaking of new albums - my favourite one man army, Ben Sharp aka Cloudkicker just released a new album. Only heard it 4-5 times, but I really like it.

Favourite track so far is Blackwing.

Here's one of the new songs in Audica that I like. It's a band I've never heard about before, and the song is pretty difficult on EXPERT, so I can't quite 5-star it yet..  but to a non-musician it looks like playing the instruments in the song requires some skills too

I've added a few Audica songs to my regular Spotify playlist. I didn't do that with BeatSaber. :)
What's strange though is I'm used to all the extra percussion the Audica gameplay adds, the original songs feel a bit flat without it.

Ninja Sex Party's third cover album Under The Covers 3 has just released. I bought a cd (which is now traveling to Aus) so I haven't heard all of it yet, but apparently they have a cover of Sledgehammer, one of my all time favourite songs.
