    I think tonight's match is going to be a close one. Belgium have more of a goal threat though imo.

    Well that's France in the Final. I was expecting Belgium to JUST edge it too!

    Same here, I had Belgium down as cup favourites, what do I know!


    I mean I had England as favourites... Belgium as, you know, second.

    whistles smugly <only joking on the law of averages i had to call one right!.> I would have liked Belgium to get there, just because they have not been to a final before, but over all i dont think it makes much different to England, Belgium have looked pretty tidy this WC as have France over all so .............................

    The Final (if England get there of course)  I would have France as slight favourites. On paper definite favourites but whilst this current england team does not have the best indifidual players of years gone by, i think Southgate has them playing as a good unit and are a better team than in the last few tournaments..

    I like Southgate, he Seems a totally decent fella, AND is English too (imo it is a nonsence that an international team is allowed a foreign manager!).   I have real hopes that Southgate could be a long term manager and probably the one i am happiest with since Bobby Robson. (English, not a cheat and seems not to be a twit or away with the fairies *cough Glen Hoddle and his encouraging the players see a fecking faith healer and giving them injections that the players had no idea what they were )

    I tell you what tho. Shearer, Lineker and Ferdinand etc must be sitting there thinking WTF?.... We had to play the likes of Germany, Argentina, Brazil and Portugal,  and got moaned at  when we lost... and you lot get Croata.. in the Semi finals after playing Sweden in the 1/4s!

    I'm happier playing France than I am Belgium in the Final (because we WILL be in the Final!). Belgium have more of a goal threat. How Giroud keeps on playing regularly for France and arse all these years really is beyond me. Griezzman is overrated too. Mbappe is a real threat but that's about it as far as goals are concerned imo.

    Giroud (who is the spitting image of Rylan Clark btw !) must have fluffed about 50 shots last night alone, it was amazing how bad he is in front of goal.
