damn you @techy111 i thought you were saying there was a walking dead VR game then, you got my hopes up.

Znation... i watch it, but honestly it is utter carp  (though does have comedy zombie baby in it).  the whole thing is going for the black comedy vibe, and whilst there are a couple of moments, for the most part it is embarrassingly bad imo - which says more about me - given i STILL watch it.

they even re-use the same gaggs which were not funny the 1st time round (liberty bell / giant cheese wheel) and also, if you watch too many close together you will see they re-use the same warehouse sets a number of times etc.. i could forgive this after all it is a budget issue, but the story itsself does not make up for it. (a couple of strong female leads tho, i will give it that)

if you want a decent zombie TV series - there are not meany episodes - but sniff out dead set if you have not seen it. that is not bad.

Helix is ok as well - tho i have not seen the last series, and it has been canned so expecting an annoying end.

i am being careful reading this thread as i have not seen the start of the new series yet and trying to avoid spoilers (i already know the opening "shock") but as for if it has more to give.. I dunno... i am still enjoying it, though i am finding myself continually dismayed by the stupidity of humanity in the whole thing.

99% of humanity is gone, they have an entire continent to grow stuff and make a safe space.
fuel should be coming out of their eyeballs with so many abandoned vehicles etc not to mention all the solar cells they could salvage.

the zombies are not even dangerous with good organisation (its not like 28 days later zombies OR worse still world war z , those i could imagine over running the planet!!!)

actually getting a working community, totally self sufficient would be simple imo, and yet humans manage to find a way to screw it up for everyone, even themselves!.

i know it would be a dull series if it was all happy familes and the waltons, but personally i would prefer the environment throw more challenges for a change rather than humans killing humans.

have a nuclear powerstation melt down which makes them sick with radiation poisoning (funnily enough znation which i chastise has a go, tho very badly), or build more on disease. they started down that road in .... season 3? (the prison) but went back to rival faction killing too soon imo.

are humans really so self destructive and selfish (dont answer that, its a depressing truth)

Eh, I think TwoHedWlf said it fairly well. Kind of cheesy, but they don't take themselves too seriously. If you're wanting a serious Night of the Living Dead, yeah, z-nation has nothing for you. However if you can also enjoy something more akin to a toned down shaun of the dead, then you'll likely find it enjoyable.

see Shawn of the dead was excellent... i have no issue with a humerous zombie show.... and actually Z-Nation has some really dark moments (minor spoiler)

eg main cast member deliberately letting zombie in to kill mother and child for no reason at all after stealing their water.

True, it has a dark side. I slightly saw z-nation as a combination of something more serious like TWD and humerous (shawn of the dead - which had its darker moments as well; but it's movie vs series). I'm not saying z-nation is perfect by any means, but it doesn't try to be either.

Love this show, only got into it recently though when I used up the 30 day Amazon Prime trial... was on a TWD binge. Unfortunately I think the only way to see series 6 in the UK at the moment is on Sky... or buy the Blu-ray set. Just waiting for the series 1-6 boxset to come down in price a bit.

It's pretty good but unfortunately the limelight is being stolen by Westworld now, an amazing series.

@Applecorp, that's another show I want to see... and another Sky exclusive I believe. Was thinking about getting Netflix but the shows I like aren't there.. Star Trek Discovery would have been Netflix but that's delayed too :(

It really is superb, imo. All the cast are great but Anthony Hopkins is on another level, one of the best performances I've ever seen from him.
