Question

What Will You Do When You Win The Lottery?

Okay, let's assume that you've won £100m on the Euromillions or US Lottery. What will you do with the cash?

I'd do the following:

1) Find a horse the next day that's 100/1 and stick my £100m on the nose to win

2) With my £10bn I'll do the following:

  • Buy a load of property (a house in the country, a house by the seaside, a house in London and a house in Ireland)
  • Buy 100 Bitcoins
  • Buy a horsie and name him Giggsy
  • Buy a few racehorses
  • Invest around £1bn in VR developers (or maybe £1m if I don't decide to make that bet above), and pay someone to finish my game for me :D
  • Forget about my friends and family cos they're all bloody gold-diggers, same with all of you lot too :D
  • Give a fair bit to cancer research and diabetes research, £1bn each (or £1m if I don't make that bet)

Now some of you may think I've lost my marbles with number 1) above but think about it. You've won the lottery at odds of around 15,000,000/1. Your luck is running, so odds of 100/1 is NOTHING.

I should have a good amount left over (depending on how good or bad my racehorses are) and I'll just live on the interest and treat myself to something nice every now and then.

I might not, but realize that others will. So I felt the need to point out how flawed the logic is for those people.

That said, I really do have a plan for if I ever win big in the lottery. And that plan is "sit on the money for a year, live the rest of my life off the interest". Of course to have any chance, even a slim one, of needing this plan I would have to do something I don't do. Namely I'd have to buy lotto tickets.

    100 million.
    Things relevant to gaming
Buy a property and open a gaming arcade club like the one in Manchester and Leeds covering all generations of arcade as well as consoles, home computers and vr.
With so much money I would pay a couple of people to do the nitty gritty.
It would not need to make a profit just hopefully cover itself

I would pay out of my own pocket to employ some developers to work on elite dangerous and do what I want them to do. Not sure how much money I would have to bribe FD with for that.
Other than that become an international man of leisure.
Since having a child I really miss 2 holidays a year at least one abroad....... This year was our one year to go big on holidays since we had a child. It's the last year before the lad goes to school so we got them really cheap (in school term time)....  Then covid hit and we had 4 holidays cancelled

Obviously I would also sort out some close family and friends.
