Thinking I could do this.... 

i reckon placing the pc by the patio doors with two cameras facing put the living room would mean I'd only have to take the 3rd sensor outside.

luckily we aren't overlooked! Though I do think longer cables are needed to get a real benefit!

It sounds that the situation is uncomfortable and it's limiting your enjoyment.
Sell it and use the money for something else. One day when you get to a place with more space, you can revisit the idea properly instead of doing silly things in the meantime just to make half way viable.

I will just go to the Uni when I get a chance. They have a rec room there.

Omni is targeting for the chinese market (arcade), no more non-US preorders, its a shame I was looking forward for it.
