Question

Change parent account to child account.

Hi!

I have a child that has been using my account. Or rather we have used it together as we have shared the Quest 2 together. I have bought a new headset so we can each have one. The thing is, hes 12yo and my question is, is it possible to change the account so that it can be the childs account instead. Like changing email and birthdate. And then link the account to me as a parent? Because the games that are bought is games he uses daily, like gorillatag for example. And i just have beat sabers. So no loss for me. And I would not want to spend money to buy all the games for him again..

I have tried to find documentation for this and navigate through the horizon app, but without success..

Best regards.

Hi SIDIZsโ€‹ ๐Ÿ™‚

According to the help pages it's possible to give an existing account to a child account.

Give an existing Meta account to a child | Quest help (en-gb)

Create and manage a Meta account on Meta Horizon for your child | Quest help (en-gb)

I think, it's possible from the family center.... not sure, though. I have no experience with child accounts๐Ÿคช

You can contact Meta support via email, chat or WhatsApp HERE if you need help.

Another option is to keep your account and share the apps with your sons child account.

You must set up the new headset with your account and add your son's account to the headset he will use. On that headset you need to enable app sharing, then he'll have access to your library.

Learn about app sharing on Meta Quest | Quest help (en-gb)

Turn on app sharing on Meta Quest | Quest help (en-gb)
