Controller issues

We bought a vr off a friend, they did a factory reset on it. Step son tried to set it up today and says the right controller doesnt move on the screen. We have followed all of the advice on Google about batteries, pairing/repairing and resetting the headset again. Not drifting! None have work. Has anyone experienced this and been able to fix it?

    How many times have you tried your VR device? If you try too many times, it is temporarily suspended, and the device gets hot, keep the device at normal humidity, it will cool down then try again...। Higgins53​

    We tried a couple of times but dont know if it was tried more before we were told about the problem. Will give it another go tomorrow. 🤞 Thankyou

    Still no joy with the controller. New battery, had it out for 60 seconds then replace, did a hard reset and also checked for an update on vr. Thumstick still won't move on screen.

    If the controller doesn't move, but you were able to pair it and the Meta button works, it probably doesn't get tracked. 

    A repair service like "Fix my Oculus" (if you are in the US) can fix that.  Or google for a vr headset repair service in your country.
