Question

Credit redemption code went to wrong Quest 2

Hiya, I purchased a credit/redemption code from Amazon for a football game and it asked me to log into my Meta account and redeem it after my purchase. I have two Quest 2 headsets, 1 set to sharing enabled.

When I redeemed the code, the credit automatically went to the wrong device sadly. Is there something I need to change on my account for it to go the correct headset.

Thanks for any advice on this...Chris

The credit goes to an account, not a device.

As steve_40 says, the credit goes to an account. Maybe you can share the app with the other headset?

Maccyb123  I think, what actually happend is that he - accidentally -  redeemed the code with the secondary account.

That's why it's on the wrong device.... and that account obviously can't share the game.

    It's just a guess.... I might be wrong.🤷‍♀️

Osprey666 maybe refund the game and use the money to gift it to the correct account.

Thanks for the replies all. Just to clarify...the Credit Pack I bought from Amazon was for game called VRFS. It give the game 500 credits and also some bonus items.

I was assuming when I logged into my Meta account I could have assigned the code to 1 on my devices. When I entered the code onto my Meta account...it automatically was assigned to my original Quest 2. It was supposed to be for my Son's Quest 2 which I have linked to my account for App sharing.

I have attached an image showing my setup. The red circle indicates my original Quest 2 I use which the credit has gone to. I was hoping to have applied it to the top Quest 2 shown below.

Wait.... you bought not code for a game, this is an add on.

    I'm afraid, then it's lost.🙁 Add-ons are not refundable.

You may ask support, if it is possible to transfer it to your son's account, but usually it's not.

You can reach out to Meta support via email, chat or WhatsApp HERE

    Good luck 🤞

Yes...it's an add on for the football game we both play. I was surprised it went directly to my main account. I thought I could have entered the code onto my secondary account for my son to use.

I don't mind purchasing again as clearly my error...but didn't want too repeat the same error.
