Doom loop - old phone number / recovery codes

Hi all - had an old oculus go and subsequently have a meta account for it. I have the user name for it, I have the password for it.....BUT then my very old phone number gets in the way (see attached). I can't change it anywhere. I have no idea what the recovery codes are. In facebook accounts centre, I can't see this account or link it - it was an account used primarily for oculus go back in the day. I want to jump back into this old account, reboot my old VR headset to access old purchases in that profile for kids. Thanks for any insights!!

yes, because who wants to remember two passwords simply for using a VR headset. Worst user experience I could think of.

Four month old post, but you are not expected to "remember" your 2FA recovery codes, you need to write them down in a safe place. If you don't understand that, then you might not be a very bright spark, and I wish you good luck in life 😁🤷‍♂️.
