Question

Headset not Turning on, not charging, no LED

Nothing eventful happened. It was left for once without charging overnight like I usually do.  It was in my nightstand where it was protected from liquids, so no water damage, nothing. I’ve tried every recommendation. I left it to charge overnight with the hopes it was just a very dead battery. Nothing. I left it disconnected for a few hours, nothing. I held the power button for over 60 seconds, nothing. I held the power button and the minus volume button for two minutes, nothing. No LED light, no bios startup, no screen, nothing. I didn’t drop it. I haven’t used it for exercise in months, so no damage from sweat.

The ease of my solution, since I got it from Costco, would be to take it back. However, it’s under my husbands account, and he already has his mom on the account, since before we met. I’m an hour away from the nearest Costco. We’re thousands of miles apart.

My iPad broke recently too, so I was using my headset to browse the internet and watch movies. Now I have nothing. The fact that just out of the blue after dealing with the iPad **bleep** is just more bull**bleep** to add to the list. Absolutely no warning sign, no rhyme or reason. It just wouldn’t turn on. I used it just two days ago, and everything appeared fine.

I no longer have the original charging block with me, it’s with my husband. I don’t have the cable either. Ive been using various generic chargers and blocks. I’ve tried other blocks, and other cables. I have the Link cable, and I hooked it up to the computer. It doesn’t recognize anything attached.

This would be my second replacement, as my dog chewed up the other. Help please!

thank you.

You have been very unlucky recently!

Maybe your husband can give you the account information you need and you can still take it back to Costco?

Also, maybe someone else might have experienced this and give you advice here but in the meantime you could try talking to an actual human support person at Meta rather than an AI, so here is a link to some options to do that. Good luck!

Thank you! I appreciate it. This is the first electronic I’ve had to stop working, out of the blue, for absolutely no reason. It was literally just sitting there, not being used, in a safe place. I put it on as I usually do, and tried to turn it on. The only unusually part of the story is that it wasn’t charging. I didn’t think leaving uncharged would cause any problems.

I no longer have the original charging block with me

Well, you have to keep it charged using an 18W charger. Plug the headset in with a compliant charger and leave it charging for a day.
