How do you stop PC Meta Link software muting Quest headset mic when removing the headset

This is seriously annoying “feature”!

I’m trying to record or stream PC VR game footage with OBS, but if I remove the headset (to get a drink, toilet break etc.) it mutes the mic. WHY?!

This often confuses poor flakey windows 11 causing OBS to lose the mic, requiring a restart or the game losing the mic (or even game sound entirely) requiring a restart.

I can’t find a setting anywhere to “not mute headset mic when removing headset”.
