Question

I set up a meta account but it doesn't recognize my email

Hi 

 

Ive just bought a new meta quest 2 and have set everything up verified my email.  Then when I go to work.meta.com/device as instructed with the headset.  I enter the code and enter my email then I get this error

it looks like there isn't an account associated with that email address. You entered: **************@gmail.com. Please check your details and try again.

 

I have set up 3 accounts now at this stage with 3 different emails and still get the same message can someone help me get this set up I don't know what im doing wrong.

    How do I perform a factory reset on my new Meta 3. My son tried to set it up himself and set it up as work.

    Yea mine is doing the same thing , I logged in to the account in my phone and I’m putting the code in and it’s saying my email is not the same one as before and there’s a error

    I have been having the same problem. The strange thing is it will send me a code to my email  but then tell me that they don’t recognize the email  I wish somebody could tell me what to do. I’ve been working on it for three days  my grandkids would love to be able to play with the oculus again while they’re here for a visit

    i found a fix:

    use the exact link it says on your metaquest, this one: www.meta.com/device and if your already logged in your meta account you should just have to put your code

      tried you link it says this (This device is managed by an organization. Go to work.meta.com/device to continue setup.) i just want acces i don't have a organisation so is there a fix for this

      Im having the same issue it seems like its looking for an external email sent to me to be used.

      I'm trying to log in to College's VR headset. I created an account on the Meta Quest app, and the headset instructed me to visit work.meta.com/device on my computer and enter the email sent to me. However, I never received an email, and my college email (used for my account I made) isn't recognized. Screenshots are attached below.
