Hey dude! After 4 days of searching I found nothing about this, I try to resolve this , Finally I done,Now only I Resolved the problem 😎. Tested in many ways Now Im not getting a single json file.

There is 2 ways to find and kill the json creator.

  1.  { Goto pc -> C:\ -> Program files -> Oculus -> Support -> Oculus-remote-desktop }.

U will find an Application Named [RemoteDesktopCompanion]. Delete the f*** file and restart the pc will solve the issue.

Any idea why this is happening? I just realized that I have over 500.000 loose json files in program files/my pc! Is some sort of virus?

Thanks mate. I'll give it a try. Atm I had deleted every single quest related app and the json files as well. I'll install the program again and try it.

1.2 Million files / 1.7 GB here, Windows took minutes vs the usual seconds to boot, File explorer was almost unable to cope with this file amount. This is a scandal, releasing such an untested update, they practically deployed a Trojan virus. I had to remove all Oculus SW to stop this nonsense. I wonder if Meta is going to pay for the SSD wear 😛

They should pay for this ! Im so angry that I had to spend 4hours finding out whats going on and trying to delete all of that f*** meta files. And the best part ? No response, no apology, no fix !!!

I logged in under another account that was not set up to use meta quest link so the processes were not running that prevented deletion.

What a piece of crap .exe!!! for me it comes back regularly! and I started 2025 by having to delete 1 million .json files on my c: !!!! pc which took almost 6 minutes to open !!!! and 45 minutes to delete them !!!! WHAT ARE THE FORUMS FOR IF NO META EMPLOYEE READS THEM TO KNOW THE PROBLEMS OF THE USERS !!!!!

It's actually very strange that Meta still hasn't fixed this issue. I knew about it a month ago and decided to check it out yesterday and was very surprised that such a critical problem still exists. It's very strange, they obviously know about it, but they don't fix it on purpose.

They don't have the intelligence to understand the issue or the programming knowledge to fix it. They are happily allowing peoples hardware to be damaged. I wonder if this willl ever go to court and users get compensation for lost data and to replace their hard drives.

3 millions files on my SSD ! I couldn't run any games and got strange bugs, I restarted my PC and black screen ! first tried Windows restoration with no success, I though my SSD was dead !

luckily I have a second installed Windows so I could search for the problem and I arrived here, and found this s*** ! Seriously, it's the second time it happens for me, at each meta update the file reappears, when they will fix this issue ??!! i'm going to delete this software.
