Locked out of Meta Account — 2FA SMS not arriving, no recovery code

Hello MetaQuestSupport,

 

I need help with a different Meta Account that I am locked out of. I am writing from my second Meta Account because I cannot sign in to the locked one.

 

Locked account email: advasifsahab@gmail.com

Problem: After verifying my email, login requires two-factor authentication. The only options are:

1. SMS to my number ending in 1914 - the code never arrives, although the SIM is active and with me

2. Recovery Code - I do not have it saved

 

There is no Facebook, Instagram or Horizon device linked to this account - it is a standalone Meta Account created with email for Meta AI / Muse.

I already contacted Meta Support on WhatsApp, but they said they only support Meta Horizon accounts, cannot transfer the case, and do not know the support link for this.

 

Please open a case and help me reset two-factor authentication on the locked account. I can verify ownership with my email access and my ID.

This is a user only forum dedicated to troubleshooting Quest VR headsets and AI glasses only. We cannot help with account issues. There are no Meta staff here. 

For your own security please edit your post and remove your email address as you might be a target for scammers. If you get any private messages from someone saying they're from Meta or can help, ignore it, they will definitely be scammers. There are links at the bottom of the page for disabled accounts. Try there.
