Long-standing issue: casting to tablet not working

We came across your post and wanted to lend a hand with the casting issue you're having with your tablet.

To start casting, a few requirements must be met. There are also a few limitations to keep in mind.

• Both the headset and the tablet need to be connected to the same local area network. This means they must both be connected through the same router, though the setup may be more complex on public or enterprise networks - Best practice is to have the headset connected through 5Ghz, though 2.4Ghz may still work at limited quality.
   
• When casting to a computer or mobile app, both the headset and the device displaying the cast must be logged into the same account - this limits secondary accounts from casting to the mobile app prior to v74, as a secondary account cannot be connected to an app. This is not a concern if you are on v74 or later.

• Developers have the option to disable casting in their app - some apps may not allow casting but we unfortunately don't have a list of which apps do or do not allow casting.

• Exiting or minimizing the Meta Horizon mobile app may interrupt casting.

• Make sure that both the headset and the app on your tablet are updated to the latest software version.

To start casting:

1. From your Meta Quest headset, press or on your controller to open the universal menu.
2. Select Camerathen select Cast
3. Select Computer or Meta Horizon mobile app to begin casting.

To stop casting:

1. From your Meta Quest headset, press or on your controller to open the universal menu.
2. Select Camerathen select Cast
3. Select Stop Casting.

Just a reminder: Casting directly to a Chromecast device is not fully supported by Meta and may not work with some Chromecast devices.
