Meta Canceled My Warranty Replacement After 7 Months of Waiting — Has This Happened to Anyone Else?
I honestly cannot believe what has happened.
On March 4, 2026, Meta approved a warranty replacement for my defective Meta Quest 3 left Touch Plus controller. I returned the defective controller as instructed.
Meta originally stated that replacement shipments normally take 3–5 business days.
Instead, I have been waiting for over SEVEN MONTHS.
Throughout this entire period, I repeatedly contacted Meta Store Support. Every time, I received essentially the same response:
- The replacement unit is out of stock.
- There is no estimated restock date.
- My case is being treated as a priority.
- I just need to keep waiting.
I also requested a new controller as a replacement or a way to purchase one from the official Meta Store at Meta’s expense, since new controllers were available for sale.
Both options were rejected, even after escalation to the relevant departments and management.
And now, on October 16, 2026, I received an email informing me that my replacement order had been CANCELED due to an order processing error.
Seven months of waiting, and this is the result.
There was no advance warning or explanation. Meta has my defective controller, I have received no replacement, and I still have no clear resolution.
I am not asking for special compensation. I simply want the warranty replacement that Meta approved more than seven months ago.
Has anyone else experienced a warranty replacement being automatically canceled after months of waiting?
If so, what happened next? Did Meta create a new replacement order, and did you eventually receive your device?
I would really appreciate hearing from anyone who has dealt with a similar situation.
At this point, I seriously question how Meta can expect customers to trust its warranty support when something like this is allowed to happen.
