Question

Meta Cash payment error keeps recurring – Has anyone found a permanent fix?

Hi everyone,

I’m looking for advice from anyone who has dealt with a recurring Meta Cash payment error.

  • I have sufficient Meta Cash balance.

  • I use Meta Cash for my purchases.

  • Every time I try to complete a purchase, I get a security error and the transaction fails.

  • This issue recurs almost every month.

  • I have contacted Meta Support, but the response is always "under investigation" with no real progress or permanent fix.

Has anyone experienced this same issue and managed to resolve it?

If you found a solution or a way to prevent this error from coming back, I would really appreciate your advice.

Thank you!

Hi @Shikichan1591934 🙂

I have no solution - I don’t if anybody has - the fotum is full of the “purchase can not be completed” error complains.🙄

But I’m curious…

You said the error reoccurs every month… so, that means you can buy games sometimes?

Thanks for the reply.

To clarify: no, it’s not that it naturally works some months and fails others.

Every time this happens, I have to contact Meta Support. They usually do something on their end to restore my wallet, which allows me to make purchases for a short period. But after a few weeks or a month, the exact same security error comes back again.

It's frustrating to see so many people dealing with this same error without a permanent fix from Meta, but I appreciate your insight!

The “permanent fix” is simply not to buy anything from Meta 🙃. Problem solved 😎.

I see… I had the error only once or twice.

I often use the mobile app and the error occured while using the app. Surprisingly, i could complete the purchase in the headset store… but this was probably just coincidence.😅
