Meta Quest 2 Bootloop issues

hello, my aunty has gave me her meta quest 2, it was working fine yesterday but today when i turn it on the passthrough mode keeps turning on and off, and then i cant select anything as the screen tilts, goes black and keeps repeating, ive factory reset it, and during the set up mode, it keeps doing the same thing, ive sideloaded the update via meta software tool and its still doing it, i dont know what else to do

There is a thread on Reddit with a similar issue.

You can try if it works when you tape something over the proximity sensor.

Am I doing something wrong or the new update brings another wonderful feature?

      I think, you should look fot a repair service like "Fix my Oculus" - if you are in the US - or google for a vr headset repair service in your country.

        Uk unfortunately, luckily though, im able to speak to support chat, it wouldnt let me earlier as I wasnt the owner of the device but that's been sorted so fingers crossed they can help, theyve advised me to fully charge it in the meantime and then try the meta software tool thing, so waiting to do that :) currently fixing the right joystick while I wait, thank you :)
