There are lots of posts about this issue already. Post your comment there. Multiple threads are unnecessary. You're wasting your time anyway. It's gone for good and shouting here at other users does not help. There are no Meta people here to see your rant. Although it won't do any good, you can complain to Meta directly here.

Choleniโ€‹ I used to jokingly say to my daughter that the people at the top of the Real VR Fishing leaderboard must be crazy people with addiction problems who are stuck in a psychiatric ward, prison or confined to their home with a GPS ankle bracelet because of the insane number of hours per day they need to play to stay at the top of the monthly fishing leaderboard... over 12-17 hours per day, occasionally non-stop for 48 hours straight, over 30 days, I kid you not... ๐Ÿคช

Then I found this post on FB from a VR user who posted their life story and they had addictive personality disorder (and alcohol addiction). Long story short, they were (at some stage) playing VR from prison:

It was some time after that one of my therapists told me I needed to find something, anything to focus my addictive personality on, besides drinking. This was about when the new X-Box console was coming out, and I had to decide between that and the Quest 2. I went with the Quest 2, and immediately purchased RVRF (Real VR Fishing), Holiday Edition. I was not working, and this game consumed me; I was playing probably 16 hours a day and drinking less. I was by no means sober, but my drinking was decreasing.

...

I came out of rehab sober, and again turned to RVRF as my channel to avoid relapse. I was still playing 16 or more hours a day, I think my record was 36 hours straight the month I first went for the leaderboard, which I did end up winning.

...

I was building up my stints of sobriety, and had many many relapses, but the times between were getting longer. Unfortunately, and I wonโ€™t get into the details, I did find myself in some legal trouble and was sentenced to jail.

...

My therapist and doctor worked together, and my attorney submitted a motion asking for me to be allowed to bring my headset to jail with me, figure why not ask; You miss 100% of the shots you donโ€™t take! Believe it or not, the judge allowed it! I was astonished.

WTF, my joke turned out to be reality ("visionary" vibes?) ๐Ÿ˜ง. The worst thing is, the OP paints this addiction to VR as a life-changing positive. However, I don't consider needing to play VR games for over 16 hours a day, day in, day out, as a "positive" outcome to avoid relapsing into alcohol addiction. I think the OP needs to get themselves a better therapist ๐Ÿคช.

But, yeah, now I don't make jokes about VR and prison anymore ๐Ÿ˜‡.
