Ownership and Factory reset

I have e taken ownership of my step sons quest 2. We have access to his account on it but he doesnt remember the email or the password for the account any longer. If I factory reset it, will it let me set it up with my details or will it ask for the prior owners details first?

    You can set it up with your account. The factory reset will delete all data from the current account..... it's empty like it just came out of the box then 😁
