Question

Problem to convert my 12-year-old account

I’m having problems to convert my 12-year-old son’s existing Meta Quest 3 account into a parent-managed account after correcting his date of birth.

I was managing his account through parental controls as it was linked to my account, however he had set it up as 15 years old and had access to the full game library so I went in to correct his date of birth, after the date of birth was changed his account was suspended and requested a parental age verification.

I have completed the parental verification process, but at the final data personalisation consent screen, both “Allow” and “Not now” fail.

The button briefly shows a loading indicator, then displays “Something went wrong”.

The same issue occurs in both the Meta Horizon app and a web browser.

How can I contact support to investigate whether his account conversion or parental consent status is stuck and help us complete the process without losing his existing account, purchases or game progress?

Basically, he’s breached Meta’s Terms & Conditions and now risks getting permanently banned. Verifying his true age only serves to prove that the account was in breach and enforces the ban.

Contact support through their official portal.

As @steve40 says they are very tough on age verification now, since it cost them hundreds of millions of dollars in fines for not doing enough. Follow Steve's link but be ready for a long wait and there could be a permanent ban.
