Quest 2 Battery not Charging

Hello, a few months ago I noticed that my Quest 2 was not charging despite using the official charger, even after leaving it alone for long periods of time on and off the charger. The light next to the power button doesn't even turn on at all to indicate if it's charging, on, or even if it has a low or high battery percentage.

Upon holding down the power button the boot-up screen with the Meta logo appears very briefly before turning back off again. I even tried the factory reset feature but all that appears is the same brief Meta logo before turning back off again. 

Is there any possibility of fixing this issue? If so, what are any options I can pursue? If not, how should I dispose of my headset?

    You can try if blip charging..... maybe it'll bring back life to your Quest.

    Read the first comment in the link below. It explains what to do. You may need to do the blip charge thing for an hour or so until the charging indicator lights up. After that, you can charge the device normally.

    If this doesn't work, you can look for a repair service like Fix my Oculus - if you are in the US- or google for a vr headset repair service in your country. 

    how should I dispose of my headset?

    Sell it for parts on ebay. There are people searching for such devices.😉
