Quest menu bar and menu tabs disappearing and not reappearing after some short time.

Hello! I have discovered a problem with my Quest 2 where not only is the device taking a longer amount of time to load up to the menu, but I simply cannot play anything because everything in the Quest 2 home disappears after a few minutes and nothing seems to be interactable within that time where the menu appears. I have no choice but to cut off the device. I've attempted to mess around in the Quest home but nothing is reappearing and I've to restart and even boot the device multiple times, but nothing changes and I've ran out of options on how to attempt to fix it. If anyone could help it would be greatly appreciated.

Hey there jjjeesssss13! Missing menus is kind of a big deal. We would love help you out how we can. We appreciate you attempting those steps and letting us know. We have notice a few users have been factory resetting their device and seems it get the experience back!

Please try the following:

Turn off your headset.
Hold the power and volume (-) button on your headset down simultaneously until the boot screen loads on your headset.
Use the volume buttons on your headset to highlight Factory Reset and press the power button.
Use the volume buttons on your headset to highlight Yes and press the power button.

Please also remember to check if your cloud backup is on to make sure your data is safe! After the factory reset, please use your mobile device to setup the headset again and let us know if the menu issues are still there. We look forward to hearing from you soon.

Could you please let us know if this started after your headset was updated?
Could you please let us know what the current version of your headset?

I can't see or find the home bar on my keys quest 2. Pushing the oculus button down doesn't do anything but "center" the screen in a different direction. All I can see is my home base and a mirror. How do I get back to the apps and home bar?

Yes, I figured it out a few hours after the post as I messed around and was able to open a game before stuff started disappearing and it stopped happening after. I have no idea what caused it and it hasn't happened sense. Thanks!

I just had the same problem you were having yesterday and this solution did not work if anyone knows a way to actually fix it please let me know I tried starting a game and all it did was switch my view to the camera of the headset if I tap the power button when it comes back I can see the game for a half second but then it goes back to the camera I've tried contacting meta support and they are completely useless they refused to help me if another user could that would be awesome

No I cant do a factory reset cos I cant make sure my cloud is on to make sure I don't lose anything as I have nothing to find it. I just get a flash of the menu bar and it disappears where then I cant do nothing as nothing to click on so how am I gonna do a factory reset if I cant back my games up

Well if you don't then you'll be dymtuck in the living room and eventually loose interest

I have had the same problem all day, I discovered that turning on voice commands will allow you to get out of passthrough but I am still stuck in the room with the menu appearing for 1/2 of a second before vanishing and leaving me stuck

Also try double tapping the power button while in passthrough
