Question

bluetooth issues quest 3

I’ve been at this for hours but I’m having a very frustrating Bluetooth issue. 2-3 days ago my Bluetooth was able to connect to my both my EarPods and PS5 controller. Today it will not. I’ve tried all of the basic troubleshooting methods, reset devices, reset previous Bluetooth connections, made sure everything was updated on my quest, AirPods and ps5 controller etc.

I just got my AirPods Monday so I know it was working then. I don’t know what could’ve happened in between those to cause the Bluetooth on my quest to not be able to connect to literally anything except the app on my iPhone. If needed my my quest is fairly new and was bought in August. I’m super annoyed about it, trying to play Phantom Blade X via 3rd party PS5 app. It’s all loaded up but of course this is happening

Your issue might not be with the Quest, but with your ps5 controller and airpods.. I had this issue where software updates to my 3rd party controllers stopped them working with the Quest. It might be a good idea to check Playstation controller and airpod forums for a possible answer too.

To check if it's a Quest issue, there are two considerations. If you are on PTC v2.9, it might be a temporary bug, report it through the bug reporting tool on your headset, and Meta will eventually fix it. If you want a stable experience generally, don't join the public test channel. If you're still on official v2.7, you should still report it as a bug anyway.. Then backup your apps and try a factory reset, it might fix it. I know it must be very frustrating so good luck, I hope it's fixed soon 🤞 Keep an eye on the thread here too as maybe someone will have a workaround.

Here is also a link to various ways to contact Meta support, in case you need it.
