Left controller wont turn on after firmware update

i tried removing from the meta horizon app and re pairing controller , it re-does a firmware update -> 100% -> success -> turns off and nothing happens when i go back to the app it shows the controller serial number but firmware is blank

This usually means the controller firmware didn’t actually finish flashing, even though it says “100%”.

Try this:

  • Remove the battery for at least 5 minutes
  • Put in a fresh battery (brand new, not rechargeable if possible)
  • Open the Meta app → Devices → Remove controller completely
  • Reboot the headset
  • Pair the controller again from scratch

If it still shows blank firmware and won’t power on, it’s likely a failed firmware flash, and you’ll need to contact Meta Support directly
