Meta Quest 3S stuck during Wi-Fi setup after software update
Hello Meta Support,
I have a Meta Quest 3S that is stuck during the initial setup process.
Here is what happened:
-
The headset was stuck on "Applying software update".
-
I successfully used the official Meta Software Update Tool on my Windows 11 PC. The update reached 100%.
-
After the update, the headset returned to the initial setup screen and asked me to connect to Wi-Fi.
-
Whenever I press "Go to Wi-Fi Settings", the interface freezes completely. The buttons become unresponsive.
-
I restarted the headset several times, but the problem persists.
-
Windows recognizes the headset via USB.
-
Meta's Recovery Flow reports: "Connection failed. Cannot connect with device. Make sure device is in ADB or Fastboot mode."
-
The Meta Horizon mobile app detects the headset but cannot complete the pairing because it is waiting for the headset software update to finish.
I have also tested my internet connection using a different VPN server, so the connection speed is no longer the main issue.
Could you please help me recover the headset without performing a factory reset, if possible?
I would appreciate instructions for the appropriate recovery procedure or information about a possible hardware replacement under warranty.
Thank you for your help.
