Question

Remote Desktop v79 physical laptop display

I tried Remote Desktop on my Quest 3 (again) which is still on firmware v79.  My Dell Laptop which is on Windows 11 25H2.  Every time I connect to it, it blanks out the laptop's screen.  If I go in to the Setting -> Display and try to extend it, it blinks as if it was going to come back on (laptop) and it blanks out again.

Is there a fix for this??

Hi mbze430

We can see that you are experiencing an issue with Remote desktop and we completely understand that this is not ideal. We would recommend trying the following:

1.Ensure your Quest 3 and laptop are on the same Wi-Fi network. please note that Wi-Fi network must be 802.11ac or higher and in the 5Ghz or 6Ghz bands

2. Ensure that your Quest 3 and laptop are running the most up to date version of the Meta Quest Remote Desktop app

3. Ensure that your laptop has a supported GPU

We hope this helps, but if your issue persists, please do not hesitate to reach back out to us and we will be more than happy to investigate further. Alternatively, you can also contact our support team here. *

Have a great day!

Are you a BOT?  If you are Meta AI, no wonder you guys are behind in the AI game.

Because you clearly didn't understand the issue.  I am talking about PASSTHROUGH able to SEE the PHYSICAL MONITOR.  I can see the virtual desktop(s) in the Quest 3.  But your stupid software automatically blanks out the physical monitor.
