FISTO and the THINGY! two input devices that you can make!

Hi,
I have the DK2 and I have made two things that I thought other people would like to check out. I have 2 instructables that are both cheap and really handy.

FISTO --> is a keyboard and mouse you can wear:

THINGY! --> a way to use SONY Playstation Move Controllers and the Navigation controllers together so they can be used to emulate a Hydra.

Anyway I hope this is useful to somebody here! Let me know what you think.

Thanks, I downloaded Move4PC and while it allows me to change the color of the move's ball (which does light up), it throws an error when I try to activate tracking. I'm running windows 8.1 64bit. The error is "The application was unable to start correctly (0xc0000142)."

Edit: After trying all of the compatibility settings, I opened the source in visual studio and while MoveforPC compiled without error, movebridge threw some exceptions, saying the project is out of date.

Why did you name the keyboard doohickey after a sexbot?

I might know somebody who might know such things:
    IDENTIFYING INFORMATION REMOVED ON REQUEST

    ;)

But there is a [NSFW] plug-in component for such a bot that goes on sale for half price on some holidays:

The nice thing about WORKING in such fields is that such "research components" are tax deductable. :P

That still does not answer the question about why your FISTO product name sounds like it is some sort of perverted sex toy...

One day they're sexbots, the next they're terminators.. Anyway the idea came from wishing I had a Nintendo Power Glove when I was a Kid. It's SO bad!... I also wanted something easier then a full size keyboard and mouse to use in VR. Not to actually use it to play games, but to navigate in an environment designed for keyboard and mouse if need be.

That and I love Fallout. In Fallout there are various "power fist" weapons, and you wear a Pip-Boy.. and Fisto the sexbot.. next thing you know.. BAM!!

FISTO - The Fist Mounted Virtual Reality Keyboard & Mouse was born! (the bit where it says "Fist Mounted" is key here)

I'm working on a "Pequeño FISTO" that is more basic, much smaller, more comfortable, cheaper, easier to make and wear/use. It will be called:
WRISTO - The Wrist Mounted Virtual Reality Keyboard & Mouse! Its basically an elastic knee brace cuff with a mini wireless keyboard & touch-pad attached via Velcro. You wear it just on your wrist. It can also be easily switched from left hand to right hand unlike its big brother FISTO. Works great and only cost $15 and takes about 5 min to assemble.

It could be a Windows issue? I'm not sure, I use Windows 7. If there is some sort of compatibility mode try running it in that maybe. It could also be crashing because that's what it does right now. It does it a lot unfortunately. It does work though, intermittently. Sometimes great, sometimes infinite crash mode.

At least you got it to pair and light up so that"s at least part good! What camera are you using? Sometimes when I'm using the PlayStation camera and its bugging out I will do these steps:
    Unplug camera
    Reboot computer
Plug into different USB and try it out
    Repeat if still crash mode
*Tip* - Try those steps but have the camera already plugged into a different USB when turning the computer back on. Try both ways, back and forth, until it decides to play nice.

It sucks. BUT it works. Sort of. That's just with these basic tools though. A talented person could get this stuff going and improving on it. I however am not that person because I can't code or any of that extra cool stuff.
I just try to pass on what little I have figured out to hopefully save people some aggravation.
