Gyro sensors.....lets go EEG

Hello all, would love to take this idea on for a debate.

Lets imagine having Emotiv combined with the Oculus. My thoughts about the gyro incorporated into the Oculus are up in the air. I seem to have a hard time envisioning any gamer wanting to turn his head time after time whilst his hands are resting steadily on a his keyboard and mouse or controller. But being able to control every movement possible including facial expressions and portray them in a virtual environment using just the signals of the brain sounds rather interesting and very possible.

Who nos maybe Emotiv would like to partner up to create what could be the ultimate gaming headset, and lets get real here there should be no problem with funding for this one, a quick call to the government explaining that you could create a problem free nation with complete video game immersion lol. Lets envision "Sword Art Online" if you haven't seen SOA then this depicts every gamers ultimate dream all rapped up in an anime show.

Thankyou and Please share your thoughts on this because the possibility's of what could be done could be endless.

I'd prefer a noncam system for positional tracking, as a lot of gamers tend to play seated in a dimly lit area. My gaming chair, for instance, is a huge black comfy chair, and the area it's in doesn't really lend itself towards having several cameras around it.

software and a filter should help to reduce the wasted input from using the cheaper cameras, but the DK2 "designed from scratch" camera as a set could be fun and do they need much light to function?

I'm completely ignoring anyone said apart from the main post. So basically what you're saying is that if you take an EEG, used to measure electrical impulses of the brain. If you would use a tech like that to send signals back as well as receive them, while at the same time diverting them into the PC (Player Character) rather than into a persons real body, there is the full dive system right there.

This is pretty much a full dive with movement but maybe no talking or sound, definitely no taste. I would like someone or myself to test this but from research, the signals would most likely be weak however the movement part is possible.

Please, prevent the rage comments. I know this seems far fetched but it IS the most likely chance of full-dive. So anyone with an Epoc Emotiv (i think it was) and the knowledge to do this, could you please maybe try this? There is still a chance of failure but there could be a full-dive right there!

    -DarkArcherz :)

PS. I have no idea how anyone would make games for this IF it worked, but personally i'd like a VRMMORPG with a) PVP all round with guns, or b) PvE with PVP using swords and maybe magic

I don't mean to be a rage comment but please can this SAO wishing just stop.
It has been picked up already soooo many times that it isn't even funny anymore.
I love the anime too but it is unfortunately a real fantasy which needs enormous leaps in medicine and science to be viable and EEG has no place in it.
Just read some earlier topics on this and please be more realistic. You don't understand how an EEG works.

A sweat sensor on your brow would be interesting for measuring stress, similar to what valve has done in Dota.

Imagine NPCs reacting to how agitated you are.
