Has the Oculus changed anyone into a developer!

It sure has with me. I have always been curious about game development but since I've seen the rift I decided to dive headfirst into it.

Anybody else in the same boat?

It has for me & I haven't even experienced a rift yet!!
Getting my head stuck into c++ books, as well as tinkering with unreal 4.

Kind of ironic, but I ain't really playing video games so much now.

Hmmm, it'll be awesome to actually learn to develop with ALL of the tools though .. :D

I'd say it's 50% Oculus 50% the VR community that has pushed me from artist to developer. There is just such a great community of people making such great experiences that getting into VR development is very accessible for a wide range of skill sets and skill levels. Of course it doesn't hurt that I'm really passionate about VR vs traditional gaming.

Wow what a mix of interesting people.
    I'm a generalist hacky tack.
OR has made more of a facilitator out of me. I would like nothing more than to code for the rift but I'll be way to late to make a descent product alone.

So I get the people who are better than me at everything and tell them what to do instead.
Luckily I've been around the VFX block for over 13 years so I can help each specialist do what he does best.

    So +1 wannabe dev,i guess.

You're certainly not too late to do anything. We won't likely see the CV1 for at least another 8-12 months, and that's just the start of things. VR is going to be around for many years to come. It's a bit like not investing in Apple stock in 2000 because you think you missed your opportunity. Sure it's always great to get in there as early as possible, but you're going to be kicking yourself if you don't get in there now because of that.

    Yes me.

Have set up a small venture and have released an easy, fun demo which allows you to be inside a Photo Sphere.

Its more fun than that and way more interesting, not good at describing it but everyone that I've demoed it with really likes it.
