If I develop under 0.8 will it work with the 1.4 runtime?

I've attempted to update to the 1.4 runtime and it won't work with my DK2, because of my old computer (USB 2.0 and I'm not sure what else - it's not even detecting that I've plugged it in to the HDMI)  0.8 works fine.

So I'm wondering if I release my product with 0.8: will it work for CV1?

I'm a shoestring budget indie and don't want to buy a $1400 computer so I can support Oculus. I may just cancel Oculus support in that case.

You can't release a 0.8 build anymore, the runtime is not available to people with the oculus home >1.3. And you can't have the two runtime installed side by side.

Use 1.3 runtime - it's working with DK2 even you have USB 2.0. Unity 5.3.4p3 for developing

Thanks Avelle - but I can't find the 1.3 runtime! The 1.4 runtime is easy to find... where's 1.3?

Just use 1.4, the only difference is added protected surface flag

But the 1.4 setup says it can't detect my hdmi cable or the USB 3 input. Will 1.3 make the same complaint? Is it possible to use it anyway even though the setup says it's not working?

Try to use 1.4 anyway
