Guess this might have something to do with a bug in the 0.7 SDK

0.8.0, GTX 980 with 358.70 drivers : Bug still there, worst than 0.7.0.

I've upgraded to 0.8.0 with NVIDIA 358.78 and unfortunately my results are the same as gaelhonorez; dropped frames have now gotten worse again. It's actually about the same as with 0.7.0 + 355.83. As I reported previously things seemed much better with 0.7.0 + 355.84. I did my measurements after a reboot just to insure that the service wasn't in a bad state. The DirectX version of the example continues to be solid, not dropping any frames once it's up and running.

Although this simple example is still occasionally dropping frames I'm happy to report that overall performance with 0.8.0 is far better! I'm able to get silky smooth 75Hz performance on scenes that were previously unusable. Great job Oculus team!

Latest nvidia drivers make it a little better. It's still dropping frames from time to time (about one every minute). Far from acceptable given the complexity of the scene, but at least it doesn't make me sick after 10 seconds :)
