THE REALITY

THERES NO GOOD DK2 APPS EXCEPT MAYBE 2

MOST OF THE CURRENT AND OLD PC GAMES DONT WORK

IT TAKES LOTS OF STEPS TO GET THE DK2 TO WORK

IT IS NOT JUST PLUG N PLAY

BUT THE APPS THAT DO WORK WHICH IS LESS THAN 0.001% OF THE GAMES OUT THERE ARE COOL

still tho I think just to play NFS Shift 2 with it seems worth it

LFS seems cool but the graphics are just horrible where Shift 2 looks actually realistic to be believable but no head tracking

The reality, is that you don't understand what a development kit is for. The Oculus DK2 is by no means a finished product available to mass consumer consumption.

There are a lot of amazing programmers and designers working really hard to integrate the use of the rift into their games and apps, and some are still waiting for their DK2 to arrive so they can make that happen.

Maybe send your DK2 to the guys that are developing the apps you want to play so bad.

Which is why it's your job as a developer to write them. That's what we're here for, to make the games. The CV1 is for playing games, the DK2 is for making them. Developers are still only just getting their hands on DK2, give them some time to actually make stuff!

Which has been known since before even the DK1 came out. This isn't a surprise, and it will continue to be this way. Programs like tridef and vorpx may work to a degree, but are inferior to a game that has build in support and shouldn't be relied on to be compatible with everything.

This is a forum for developers, and you are using a developer's kit.

This anger you are feeling should be completely redirected at yourself. Grow up man.

The reality is that the DK2 is a development kit, and should not be purchased by non-developers. That is what we have been saying the whole time. If you are not a developer then you should be willing to basically be beta-testing an unfinished system.

if Shift 2 works with full 6 DOF and the ability to adjust FOV and seat position and turn the motion blur when going faster completely off

it would be a great game to market together along with the Rift because at the "low" res it actually looks quite realistic
