Windows 7 or Windows 8?

Another newbie question:
I'm getting a new PC for Oculus work.
What is the recommendation of using Windows 7 or Windows 8? Pros and cons of each if not an obvious choice?

    I think technically either will work, but 7 seems to be more battle-tested at the moment.

    My personal opinion. win8 if your want to record your gameplay. (Direct mode is somhow better working in w8)
    W7 more tested But some people have problems with direct mode

    I am running Windows 8.1 and see no problems with Direct Mode on 90% of Apps
