Everything is alright yesterday.

Today I found that the unknown source in Quest is disappear and I cannot connect my Quest via ADB.

Also the developer mode setting is not found in Oculus App.

What happened?

    MUTINY!

TOO MANY RESTRICTIONS! THEY ARE DELAYING THINGS WITH THIS PROBLEM!
They are putting too much restriction on our OWNED DEVICES! TOTALLY HAD NO FREEDOM TO USE IT WITHOUT THEM INTERFERING!

I got my developer mode back by adding credit card details in the verify developer account link (https://developer.oculus.com/manage/verify) as soon as I add my credit card details in that page, I got my developer mode back in my oculus companion app.

This would be useless in my case, since I don't have a Credit card. Only a phone number and that doesn't seem to do anything

Yeah. Also the site says cc OR phone number, so one or the other should be fine. I have only phone and it says I'm verified. So my guess is the bug is still present

Same problem here, after challenging all the day with verification and factory reset...

This is unacceptable, especially for people working on game development for business

once i added a credit card to the developer verification  i got my dev mode back. Ive always had a cell# on there but now it wanted a CC

I confirm! Both cell phone number and credit card needed... That's unbelievable!!!

Yes make sure you have CC on file for dev mode to appear in app.  it's just below controllers in settings once you complete the full verification

Can also confirm that I was already verified with mobile number, but I had to add credit card details to get developer mode back.
The verification still states "you must establish your identity by providing a credit card OR mobile number"
Such a minor detail has shut down so many of us developers, Oculus really need to handle sensitive settings like this with more care.

Sounds like you're right - A colleague texted me last night to say the same thing - adding credit card details appears to solve it!

Il faut ajouter un moyen de paiement  quand vous faites la vérification  de compte développeur.il faut mettre les 2  numéro de téléphone et coordonnées de carte bancaire

    Merci

Exactly the same issue. Allready chattet with Oculus Support. It seems they don't know anything about the change. I'm really disapointed! Bought a Product to do my Stuff, and now it has no more value for me! Wasting time for nothing.

No Need to panic...Just Download Oculus Developer Hub for windows (your PC must have Bluetooth) and connect the headset via BT. The second window after oculus developer account login will take you straight to enabling developer mode on the device. I just fixed it and its running like a charm.

Thanks for the information of ManickBi and lazer220.

At this moment what I found:

    1. Add payment method make the developer mode option show on Oculus App again.

    And disappear when removed it.

    2. Without payment method, you can still enable the developer mode with Oculus Developer Hub app.

But your computer should have bluetooth, as you cannot connect it via USB before turn on the developer mode.

Yeah, was already verified by phone, but I came across something that you can verify by phone WITH TWO-FACTOR or by credit card, and then I realized I don't have two factor on my Facebook, so I added a card and viola.
