Everything is alright yesterday.

Today I found that the unknown source in Quest is disappear and I cannot connect my Quest via ADB.

Also the developer mode setting is not found in Oculus App.

What happened?

Adding a cc to verify it brought back the option in the oculus app, but no matter what, its not working as expected, as im trying o install an app, it says that its installed correctly but it doesnt appear in unknown sources, no matter how much i try, restarting the headset and everything

Thanks everyone for the heads up! We've indeed received reports regarding some verified developers unable to access Developer Mode (which is preventing the running, debugging and testing of apps).

The current workaround: you can put your device into Developer Mode by connecting to it through Bluetooth using the Oculus Developer Hub. Our engineers are currently working to fix the issue - we'll update this post when we have more information!

If you need immediate help or want additional support/context on an issue you are having with our platform or integrations: 1. Gather any and all logs , screenshots, and version numbers of relevant software (Oculus SDK, engine, etc.) 2. Please submit a ticket here through the "Contact Us" link (include what you've gathered in step 1). 3. Tag me @mouse_bear once you have done so!

Thanks for checking in, mouse_bear .

Since the Oculus Developer Hub workaround won't work with an Oculus Go, can you confirm whether the "official" fix will also make the option reappear in the Oculus App for Oculus Go headset settings?

I've updated the app on my smartphone and now the developer option is present but when you select it it sends me back to the browser to create a developer account. I connect to my account, but then the page with the instructions opens, what should I do to activate?

I tried the updated version. The result is same as you.

Then I tried to add back a CC, and the developer option can use now.

So... I think the app update haven't solve the problem...

We await a solution ... But I would like to understand why my Quest 2 connects to the phone but not to the PC via bluetooth.

    UPDATE:

The problem was my bluetooth USB dongle. I was able to connect and activate developer mode. Thank you all.

So I just downloaded the developer hub app on my PC and it WILL NOT even recognize my Quest2 or Rifts - both of which are recognized by the regular Oculus phone app.  We are supposed to use the developer Hub now

Try to connect your PC to any Bluetooth device to make sure your PC Bluetooth is working fine. If that is so, you can coronet with your quest 2 and enable developer mode. Usually built in Bluetooth works flawlessly while USB dongle type Bluetooth adapter may behave a normal sometimes.

    Is this really a soltion?

My devices where in to develop mode...

And after a firmware update all the unkown sources are gone..

So i do not think this is a solution for the problem ..?

Or i hope i am wrong

    Hello Jim,

    Thank you for reaching out!

Can you verify that you do not see Developer Mode when you navigate to your device (Menu > Devices > Quest > Developer Mode)? Please provide me with a screenshot of this view so that we can verify the missing setting.

Secondly, please try this debugging step:

Please reset your app either by killing the app and reopening it or deleting the app and reinstalling it.

Let me know if Developer Mode is still not showing up once you've completed this step.

At this time, your bug has been reported to our engineering team. Our team has no ETA on when a fix will be available, but rest assured that we are working to triage and fix this as quickly as possible.

If you're verified with phone number, but don't use two factor, try adding a debt/credit card. That fixed it for me

I’m having the same issue but also my guardian isn’t working (when I enable it doesn’t try to add a new guardian or even try to place the borders at all) Also on the oculus app it keeps telling me to create an account for it and verify which I’ve already done.

The Guardian issue may require a factory reset though.

I figured it out, it was verified by phone number, but I don't use two-factor on my Facebook account, so I just added a credit card and presto, it's back.
