Quest developer mode suddenly disappear

Everything is alright yesterday.

Today I found that the unknown source in Quest is disappear and I cannot connect my Quest via ADB.

Also the developer mode setting is not found in Oculus App.

What happened?

Deleted Oculus app from my phone, re-installed it, no change. Still can't re-enable developer mode on my Quest 2 which had been working smoothly until that latest headset update. So not 'solved' for me.

Have you checked your account is verified?

You need to add phone number or credit card to verify.

You can check this on https://developer.oculus.com/manage/verify/

To clarify - even though it says 'verified' with just a phone number OR a credit card, you actually need to add both now for developer mode to work again.

Try adding a debt/credit card. That fixed it for me.

So the actual problem is that you have to be verified by credit/debt card or by phone WITH TWO-FACTOR, if you're verified by phone without two-factor it will NOT work. I hope this helps!

I turned on two-factor for the facebook account. Still doesn't work. My developer account is verified by phone only, not by CC. Hope they'll fix it soon because this is getting stupid.

I sounds like there are some issues on their side with the verification process where it pertains to phones, I fixed mine by adding a debt card that has overdraft prevention and rarely has money in it.

Fixed this by adding CC information aswell as mobile for verification.

Refreshed app and now its there!

So I FINALLY got it to work!! I put the CC information in my Iphone from the quest device developer screen - even though it was in my PC- and then all of a sudden the developer option appeared!

Update 11/8: The fix pushed to the latest App Update does not seem to have fixed the issue for all developers. At this time we are re-opening the issue and will update this forum thread with any relevant details: https://forums.oculusvr.com/t5/General-Development/Developer-Mode-Issues-Update/td-p/892227

In the meantime, many of our awesome developers have shared that verifying using a Credit Card allowed the Developer Mode option to appear.
