About updating controllers

Could you guys please make it optional to update controllers and not just the headset?

Because I don't always have time to put them to charge and thus it's very frustrating when i finally have time to be in VR again and Quest wants to forcefully update controllers but can't because there isn't "enough charge" and then having to wait forever to get the required charge on the controllers.

Wouldn't also be a problem if something in the update broke something in the firmware again causing syncing issues.
