Hey Guys! Has anyone else experienced extremely long loading times for VR PREVIEW in Unreal Engine 5.5.1 after updating Meta Quest Link to v85? I literally have to wait 3 minutes, when it used to load in about a few seconds.

Fixed by downgrading back to Meta Horizon Link Version 83.0.0.333.349 (83.0.0.333.349). Never PTC again.

I'm experiencing the same thing with 85.0.0.239.552 on UE 5.5.4 and I'm not on PTC.  How do you downgrade to an older version?

Unfortunately I'm having the same issue even after the most recent upgrade of meta horizon link, while finding an older version is not that easy. It's currently not usable and it's not just the UE preview, the quest link feature itself seems to take forever to connect.

ludoviz, go into Task Manager > Services > and restart OVRService. This will fully restart the Meta Quest Link app. That sometimes helps make things work.

By chance are you using a work computer? I've found that Meta Quest Link app is basically useless on my work computer so to my Windows security on that computer.  If so, you may have to work on a different computer or work I'll with your IT to get the application working.

Finally, my link no longer works via the link cable. Not sure why, but it just stopped working several versions ago. I had to switch to only using air link.

I used HTC Vives with SteamVR for 8 years and switched to Meta last year. I never had as many problems as I do with Meta Quest Link app. It's an extremely finicky and brittle application.
