Question

Feature Request: Context-based Room Profiles (like WiFi networks)

Problem:

Currently, Quest stores all room setups in a global pool.

This can lead to incorrect room detection or unnecessary re-scanning when switching between locations.

Idea:

Introduce context-based room containers (e.g. based on WiFi or “no WiFi”).

Concept:

- Each context (WiFi / offline) has its own set of saved rooms

- Automatic room detection continues within that context

- When switching context → only relevant room data is loaded

Example:

- Home WiFi → rooms in my apartment

- Friend A WiFi → rooms at place of friend A

- Friend B WiFi → rooms at place of friend B

- No WiFi → separate container (e.g. travel)

Benefits:

- Reduces false room detection

- Faster and more reliable switching between locations

- Better mental model for users (similar to WiFi networks)

Important:

This would NOT replace visual tracking, but act as a context filter.

Conclusion:

This seems like a relatively simple structural improvement that could significantly improve multi-location usability.
