Has anyone got Meta Horizon working on a MacOS using a virtual operating system, like Parallels (http://parallels.com) to install Windows? I'd love to try out this software but I'm running MacOS. I suspect it must work, but I don't want to invest into things without first figuring out if it will work or not.  Thanks!

Hey everyone,(I'm sorry in advance for the AI wording, I just used it to summarize the Meta Support case.) I've hit a wall with a BLE GATT connection issue on my Meta Quest 2 project and could really use some community guidance.Summary / TL;DR:My bonded BLE peripheral won't reconnect to the Quest 2 after a disconnection. The "Connect" button in the Bluetooth UI has never worked for this, and now the system's automatic background reconnection, which was my last resort, has also stopped working. This means the user has to "Forget Device" and re-pair every single time they want to use it, which is a deal-breaker for my app. Meta Support has already confirmed the UI button issue is a "known limitation."Detailed ProblemI'm working with a standard BLE peripheral using the Heart Rate service. It pairs, bonds, and connects perfectly the first time, and data streams without a hitch. The problem is, once it disconnects, I can't get it to reconnect without a full re-pairing.The Original Issu

I'm using building blocks to test colocation and network avatars, The colocation part of the app works. But there is an issue with network avatars,Issue: When the second device joins via colocation the player spawns at (0,0,0) with avatar, But after the camera rig adjust itself to the spatial anchor the player(camera rig) goes to the location but the avatar still remains at the initial position.I have tried finding the "LocalPlayer" gameobject and repositioning it after some delay but it still remains at the same place.

Hi,Videos are not available in the Playtesting Feedback section of the developer dashboard. In the feedback details it says: "This video isn't available yet. Please check back later."Meta Support responded with "we are aware of this problem". Just wanted to check if it's working for anyone out there or if it's not working in general so I can instruct my testers to use a working solution instead.

Hello Meta Developers & Reality Labs Team, I’d like to share an independent XR concept called “The Real Life (RPG)” – a system that verifies real-world actions (reading, mindfulness, learning, encounters) as XP points through eye-tracking / voice analysis / AR context awareness. It encourages people to grow through reality – not escape from it – by merging self-development with augmented reality. The project supports Ray-Ban Meta Glasses (no eye-tracking, voice fallback) and Quest Pro (eye-tracking). → Full concept PDF attached by Kontakt Would love to connect with Reality Labs Partnerships or Developer Relations to explore a pilot integration. Best regards,Philipp M.

Hey everyone,I’m having a strange issue when trying to use the Meta XR tonemap on Quest 3 standalone (Unreal Engine 5.5, Meta XR Plugin v78).Everything works perfectly in VR Preview (Vulkan) inside the editor — the colors look correct and the tone-mapper behaves exactly as expected when I enable: r.MobileHDR=1  r.Mobile.TonemapSubpass=1But when I package and run the app on the Quest 3, the screen goes completely black. The game is clearly running I can hear audio and interact  but there’s no image at all. If I disable HDR or set r.Mobile.TonemapSubpass=0, the image comes back instantly (but of course the tonemap stops working). Here’s my setup:Unreal Engine 5.5.4 (Oculus fork)Meta XR Plugin v78Quest 3, standalone build (Vulkan)Mobile HDR = ONMSAA = 4xForward Shading = ONMobile Multi-View = ONWhat’s confusing is that I’ve seen people mention HDR working on Quest 3 standalone, so maybe I’m missing something in packaging or manifest settings? Is the Mobile HDR

The NPC response is currently a string but there is no way for developers to access and parse what the NPC response is via code.Ideally I'd like to be able to run a function on an NPCs response to determine whether or not they've agreed to unlock a door, or make a payment. Currently there is no way to access the NPCs text response even though it is used by the speech bubble. Request: The Elicit Response method should return back a string of the NPCs response so that developers can parse it to look for keywords that might indicate a changing game state.

So I hadn't posted in a few days, went to go into facebook this morning and it's telling me it's disabled. There's no form to fill out, I didn't get an email regarding why or what for, there's like no options whatsoever. It sends me to the support page that doesn't help whatsoever. I don't know who to reach out to or how. My last post was a picture from vacation (it was a bear we saw), so I doubt that goes against standards. Please Help!

Dear  Meta, I am writing to request a manual review of my personal Facebook account, which was recently disabled for alleged violations of the Community Standards related to “Account Integrity.” My account was disabled around 2025.10.17. I received the message stating that my account violated the rules about integrity and that I can no longer request a review. I respectfully believe this might be a misunderstanding. I am a user located in mainland China. Due to national internet policies, direct access to Facebook is not available without using a VPN connection. I have always used Facebook to follow global news, faith-based pages, and communicate peacefully with my friends. I have **never engaged in impersonation, spam, or automation** of any kind. Because of the local restrictions, I had to use a VPN node located in Hong Kong to access my account. This may have caused sudden IP changes that were misinterpreted by your system as suspicious or inauthentic a

Hello, So i have had this issue with OVR overlay canvas that it turn transparent when you are not looking at it, even though you are still in its boundaries and its the only canvas in the scene, after checking the codei fixed it by removing this line anchor.z < 0 ? float.NaN : 0; and adding this anchor.z = 0; i was hoping that there is a solution that wouldnt require me to edit the source code. Thanks,

Hello, I am testing 2 level subscription tier (both monthly) in draft mode and I am having trouble understanding certain behavior from server APIs responses during my testing with a test user account.1. Subscription doesn't renew automaticallyGET https://graph.oculus.com/application/subscriptionsWhenever I edit subscription end period from developer dashboard, the subscription remains in active state even after past the renewal date time, `period_start_time` and `period_end_time` has no change at all and `is_active` is also set to true. So my question is this expected that for test user the renewal is not automatic and I must "renew" manually from the dashboard?2. Mismatch between APIsGET https://graph.oculus.com/application/subscriptions GET https://graph.oculus.com/$APP_ID/viewer_purchasesThe expiration time is 5 days in the future for /viewer_purchases as compared to /subscriptions which returns correct expiration time. There is another problem with /subscriptions api returns start

I need an event to happen when the player grabs the object using the Grabbable component. I don't see that option on the script nor is it accesible. How can i do this?

Hi,I'm currently developing a VR experience using Unity (2022.3.62f1) and the Meta All-in-One SDK(ver. 78.0), where users are physically holding controllers, but hands are shown instead of controllers — so that interactions appear to be done with hands, even though the input is coming from the controllers. To support this, I've enabled controllerDrivenHandPosesType so that the virtual hands animate based on controller input.Additionally, I configured the controllerButtonUsage property of the GripButtonSelector inside the ControllerGrabInteractor (under [BuildingBlock] OVRInteractionComprehensive > Left/Right Interactions) to use the Primary Button, allowing users to grab objects via button press. However, in this setup, the interaction still seems to be treated as hand-tracking-based.As a result, the HandGrabInteractable component (set via [BuildingBlock] HandGrabInstallationRoutine) follows the Pinch Grab Rules — so the user must still pinch specific fingers to grab an object, even t

Hello (I am using a translation tool, so I apologize if any of my wording is strange. Please see the attached screenshot of my Inspector settings.)I am trying to implement the Hip Pinning feature from the Movement SDK in my own scene, using a custom avatar. What I am doing:I am using the official Meta Movement SDK Hip Pinning sample scene (MovementHipPinning) as a reference. (Reference: https://developers.meta.com/horizon/documentation/unity/movement-advanced-samples )I am using a custom avatar created with Avatarsdk (metaperson.avatarsdk.com), which uses a standard Unity Humanoid rig. (Avatar Source: https://metaperson.avatarsdk.com/ )I have set up the Character Retargeter on my custom avatar and added a Target Processor Container for Hip Pinning, similar to the sample. The Problem: In the official sample scene, the avatar sits perfectly, and the knees are correctly positioned. However, with my custom avatar, when Hip Pinning activates:The knees bend at a strange angle. (They point

Hi, I'm very new to this world and I want to make a VR game for a project at school, but it turns out I'm stuck on this problem. What I think is a configuration issue in Unity, since other than that, I think everything is fine. When I connected my VR headset, I enabled the USB debugging option, developer mode was enabled, and basically everything was fine in the MQDH. Then, in Unity, I changed the platform to Android. I had everything configured correctly. I clicked "build and run," and the game kept loading in my VR headset. I don't know what else to do. I've attached my hierarchy below:

The new AI 3d modeling is really bad. It's not really the modeling, it's the images. They are terrible and lead the modeling stage the wrong way. Some of them aren't even in frame, which makes the model incomplete. the AI used to be so much better. I know they are saving money, but this is bad

I am trying to understand the accuracy of depth API for quest 3 under different conditionsFor that I want to be able to get the distance of the depth hit point from a fixed point let's say the centerEyeAnchor using the MRUK RaycastMy question is where is the centerEyeAnchor placed w.r.t to the physical headset, what I understand is it is the user view so somewhere near the headset lenses, is there a specific number anybody knows or if you can point me to anywhere this offset from the actual physical sensors is mentioned!Thank You!

Full Disclosure: I am testing subscriptions in draft mode and with test user account. IAP.GetViewerPurchases().OnComplete(msg => { if (msg.IsError) { return; } if (msg.GetPurchaseList().Count == 0) { return; } foreach (Purchase item in msg.GetPurchaseList()) { Debug.LogFormat("Purchased: sku:{0} granttime:{1} id:{2} expire:{3} type:{4}", item.Sku, item.GrantTime, item.ID, item.ExpirationTime, item.Type); // All values are available properly except for item.Type prints "unknown" in console. } });However, this API does return any unconsumed items properly with type set to "CONSUMABLE" but for subscription its not working. So my question is, if this is happening due to subscription being in draft mode? and if I can depend on this property in production app to check if items in loop is any unconsumed produc

Hello,I'm working on a mixed reality project using spatial anchors on Meta Quest 3, with Unity and the Meta SDKs.Use case:A master headset places anchors in a physical environment.I want another headset to be able to retrieve those anchors, even if the master headset is turned off.My questions:Is there any way to manually save/export anchors (e.g. serialize them or store them in a custom/local/cloud service), so I can handle transfer and reuse between headsets myself?I haven't found any API to do that yet.Regarding the "Shared spatial anchors" (https://developers.meta.com/horizon/documentation/unity/unity-shared-spatial-anchors/) system with GroupId sharing, I understand that a headset can pull anchors from the cloud even if the original (sharing) device is offline. Can you confirm that this is correct? How long are anchors retained in Meta’s cloud once shared? Are there any conditions (exp
