Hi everyone!

This is Tevfik here, one of the Meta Start Program mentors. ๐Ÿ‘‹

Here,  Iโ€™ll be sharing resources from my sessions here so you can revisit the material throughout the competition.

Here are the slides from our first two sessions:

๐ŸŽฎ Session 1 โ€” Assemble Your Party: Competition Kickoff & Team Formation

We covered:

  • Competition structure, tracks, and divisions
  • The benchmark journey from kickoff to submission
  • New Experience vs. Adapted / Significantly Updated Experience
  • Team formation and responsibilities
  • Setting up a realistic working structure for the competition

๐Ÿ’ก Session 2 โ€” Fast Essentials: Ideation โ€” Find Your Competition Concept

This session focused on moving from a broad idea toward something you can actually test and build.

We covered:

  • Turning an idea into a focused competition concept
  • Finding your core interaction
  • Identifying the 10-second moment that makes your experience interesting
  • Moving from concept โ†’ interaction โ†’ proof
  • Using constraints to reduce scope
  • Building the smallest proof and testing it with real people

The goal isnโ€™t to find the perfect idea. You need a direction worth testing.

If youโ€™re participating in the competition, feel free to use these decks as references while you build.

Keep sharing your progress, questions, concepts, prototypes, and builds here in the Developer Forum! ๐Ÿš€

Looks good, thank you for archiving those after the presentations, I didn't catch wind of them until afterwards.

I actually had a question regarding classification of my project, hoping you might be able to route me to the right place to ask if this isn't it: I made a WebXR prototype earlier this year that I tested with friends and family, but have not release commercially yet. For the compo, I'm doing an expanded native Vulkan version of that game. Should I submit that as a new project, or a significantly modified one? I want to be respectful of the rules and not just assume. Thank you for the guidance!
